The same Super Bowl XXXI matchup ad also ran with the got milk? logo instead of the original “Milk — Where's your mustache?” slogan; that reissue is shown in the gallery. An earlier separate record for it (a 1280×1600 collector scan) was merged into this one. The ad carries the line “This Sunday, Remember To Pass The Milk.”

Milk Mustache Mania's photo and illustration credits page (p. 94) credits the Super Bowl ads to photographer Walter Iooss Jr.

The Milk Mustache Book (1998), photo and illustration credits (p. 152), credits the Super Bowl ads with Brett Favre, Drew Bledsoe, Reggie White and John Elway to photographer Walter Iooss.

The Milk Mustache Book (1998, p. 84) says this was the first time the two opposing Super Bowl quarterbacks appeared together in an ad. Planning began months ahead, with approval sought from every quarterback who might reach the game. Scheduling kept the two apart, so they were photographed separately, Drew Bledsoe on January 13, 1997, in Boston and Brett Favre on January 14 in Green Bay, and joined digitally.

The unpublished Drew Bledsoe solo ad — from The Milk Mustache Book (1998). Two solo Super Bowl XXXI ads were prepared; USA Today ran the winner’s. Green Bay won, so this Bledsoe version never ran.
