Notes

A main-campaign Milk Mustache ad. The magazines and dates it ran in are listed under Where it was published.

The Milk Mustache Book (1998, p. 92) dates this February 5, 1997, New York City, the same shoot as his St. Patrick’s Day ad, and says that when the book was written he was the only celebrity to have had two ads running at the same time. It calls this one of the campaign’s most popular ads up to then: people kept asking to buy it, some offering whatever it cost. The strangest case was Marlboro, New Jersey, from which more than a hundred people telephoned for it, children first and then their parents and grandmothers.
