Milk Mustache Mania (p. 10) says the campaign had always wanted a whole cast of a hit television show in one ad, and jumped when the producers of Frasier called. It says this was the first milk mustache ad to feature an entire cast and set a record at the time for the most mustaches in one ad, six, and that the count nearly reached seven when Moose, the dog who plays Eddie, lunged out of John Mahoney's grasp to lap up some milk. The cast assembled was John Mahoney as Martin (with Moose as Eddie), Dan Butler as Bulldog, Peri Gilpin as Roz, Kelsey Grammer as Frasier, Jane Leeves as Daphne and David Hyde Pierce as Niles. The book adds that Frasier had recently become the first program to win the Emmy for outstanding comedy series five years in a row.
