got milk? poster — pancakes (California)
Category:California got milk? advertising
Collections:Ads without mustaches
Type:Poster
Notes
A stack of pancakes with “got milk?” written on top in syrup. One of the food-and-no-milk pictures from the California got milk? campaign, which never used the milk mustache.
Undated.
Got Milk? The Book (1999) tells the story of this picture (pp. 86–87): it was meant to take the campaign beyond sweets and cereal and out of the home, but syrup written on pancakes could not be read, and the picture needed six or seven deadline extensions and about four months and tens of thousands of dollars of retouching, which the agency wrote off. It was made before mid-1996.
