Notes
Re-dated from 1996 to c.1998 in October 2026. The 1996 date came only from the title of the eBay listing this picture was taken from. The SAMMY award began with the high-school class of 1998: period newspapers call SAMMY 1999 the “second annual”, and the winner ads of 1999-2005 count from 1998. Brandon Belford of Flint Township, Michigan, is printed among the 1998 winners in the 1998 SAMMY winners ad (extra-038). The picture here is the title panel, “presenting the Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year Awards” in coloured bands; the fold-out photograph in extra-1389 shows the same bands at its right edge, so both may be parts of the 1998 fold-out.
