Release year:2000–2002
Category:Campaign context
Collections:Research References
Type:Television, radio, on-pack and vehicle campaign

Notes

OUT OF SCOPE, recorded to prevent confusion. The UK National Dairy Council ran a £9m 18-month campaign called The White Stuff from June 2000, with the line ‘White stuff — are you made of it?’ It used CARTOON versions of George Best, Prince Naseem Hamed, Chris Eubank, Frank Carson and Rolf Harris, voiced by Jonathan Ross. There are no milk mustaches in it. It added 82 million litres against a 60 million target and reached 90% awareness among parents, but collapsed in February 2002 when the processors withdrew funding.

Evidence

Farmers Weekly, June and August 2000; Marketing Week on the funding collapse.
