Notes
MilkAdMan lists this in its main campaign series.
The Milk Mustache Book (1998, p. 66) gives the shoot as July 23, 1996, Los Angeles. De La Hoya brought his own boxing gloves, trunks and the American-flag robe he wears in the ad. Jay Jasper, a former creative director at Ogilvy & Mather known for the Paco Rabanne print campaign of the 1980s, told the team it was their best photograph yet. The book shows a behind-the-scenes picture of him in the robe being made up.
